Completely without thinking about it, I dressed the three girls in pinks and reds over the course of the day yesterday. Since they matched so well, I decided it was time for a family portrait.
I also sewed up two tank tops for Harley. The knit is a bit thick, but I'm a bit nervous about sewing thinner fabric. Still, I think I will eventually cruise down to the fabric store and see what they have. I've decided you can only sew something if you've tried it (usually failed) and try it again.
I love her in the red one, but the aqua doesn't look bad on her either.
PS: So I think I'm going to go for another month of daily blogging. I am having such a great time focusing on my bjds and feel like it's helped me get to know them better, and hone my sewing skills for them as well. Yay!

Go for it girl! :-) Lovely portrait and great vests :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Thanks so much Lorraine! I'm glad you like everything I've been doing with my dolls lately!

ReplyDeleteThanks Brighteyes, I'm really glad you're enjoying reading about my dolls! xoxo
DeleteAnother month in Fairyland! I'm ecstatic! No kidding. I love your 'Fees. Harley's tank tops came out perfectly. My blog for tonight (when I finally get over there) is about sewing thin knits. Read it before you shop. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! Thank you. I will definitely check your blog post out first!! And thank you so much for your compliments and consistent comments. They really mean a lot to me! xoxo
DeleteThose tank tops turned out wonderfully! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!! I think I will have to make her a few more of them, lol.

ReplyDeleteThanks Bama!! I'm so glad you've been following me from the beginning, xoxo.
DeleteI enjoy your doll pictures, here and on Flickr. Your sewing skills are really good. Harley looks beautiful in what you have made her.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne, It took a lot of trial and error, and still does, lol. Currently I'm on pair three of a pocketless pair of cords I'm trying to make for her. Pants are tricky! I really appreciate your comment and am glad you follow me on flickr, too!
DeleteYou have such a lovely family. The tank tops are really cute. I find that a really good source of knit fabrict in small amounts and many colours is t-shirts on sale. In tha autum you can often find them for 1½$ a piece (at least here in Denmark) and there's more than enough fabric for as many tops and leggings you'd want for your dolls in one colour even if they fit relatively small children.
