Emma's Photoshoot

Emma's in her blond wig again, she's just too cute this way. I haven't settled on either the blonde or the brown. I think I'll just keep rotating them. I'm revamping her wardrobe. She needs some new things, and while I've tried sewing for her, I am not happy with my tiny sewing capabilities...yet. So for now I'll stick to sewing for the AGs, and buying clothes for the bjds. Emma's in her Spampy regalia today. I'm on the waiting list for more Spampy stuff, but it'll be about 6 weeks or so yet. So in the meantime, she'll have to settle for what she's got.
In other news, I have a Pukifee Ante on order. She'll probably show up some time in March. I'm really excited about her. She'll either be named Sparrow or Wren, I haven't decided which yet. I might have to meet her first. Emma will be happy to have another little girl in the house. Especially one that she can carry around, lol. She's going to wear lots of pink! So far I've collected a pair of shoes from dollb and a sweet dress from My Fair Dolly, as well as a dress from Maram Banu. Of course, when I put in my Spampy order, I'll be ordering some things for her as well.
Tell me, what do you all think of the pukipuki size? I can't decide if I want one in the future or not.

Can you tell I'm doll obsessed right now? And to top it all off, the American Girl of the Year, Saige, is being released on the 1st, and I want her and her horse, lol. Help!!

  1. Emma looks adorable as usual. I love the pink hat.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but don't buy too much stuff for your Pukifee before she gets here. PFs are top heavy, with a big heavy head and a small body. I ended up selling mine. She was cute but she drove me crazy, always falling over. I hope yours is better behaved.

I haven't seen any Pukipuki in person. They might be a nice compromise between Pukifee and Realpuki.

    1. Oh, I never thought of that. I hope she doesn't topple too often. I was thinking she'd be a lot like a LTF, but of course the head is so much bigger in relation to the body on the PKF. (I'll keep my fingers crossed). xoxo

  2. Emma is so cute. I think sewing for the dolls you are comfortable sewing for, and buying clothes for the ones you don't enjoy sewing for is an excellent plan! I can't wait to see your Ante!

    1. Thanks Jen, Yeah, now it's just a matter of figuring out what clothes to get. I can't wait to get the new Ante and see what I think. I'm really looking forward to her cute little freckles, lol.

  3. Emma always looks darling no matter what wig she is wearing.

About PukiFees, I have never had one that size, but I have heard the same thing balljointedwoman posted. But you could order her with one of the smaller "multi head" to make her less top heavy.

I just got a Real Puki and she is TINY! But I love her size and she is a lot of fun. You can see her on my blog.

    1. Hi Bama!!! Congratulations!!! I will have to check her out. I had never heard about the PKF being top heavy before, but it makes total sense. Hmm....maybe my girl is going to have to sit down alot, lol. I'm happy that you've gotten back into bjds. You'll have to tell me what you think about your RealPuki, and if you plan on getting any more.

  4. One of my friends has a PukiFee with the first larger head and she adores her. She says she can't imagine changing her for anything. So some people are not bothered by the head at all. I don't know anyone personally who has had the problem of being top heavy, but have heard about it.

As for my Real Puki, I am enjoying her a lot. I know she is a BJD, but so far, I'm okay with that and don't feel overwhelmed. I have only ordered her a few outfits, a pair of eyes, a wig & wig cap. Changing the open eye face plate to the sleeping face plate is super easy. Probably because she's not wearing the wig, so I'm not forever having to put it on and take it off, straighten it up to look presentable again, etc. I did change her eyes to blue, and I let her wear the wig cap without the wig, just because I haven't put the magnets in the head and it's like a safety thing to keep the face from falling off, although its quite snug. The wig is cute, but the hat doesn't fit over it very well. I like her as a baldy anyway, as long as she can wear adorable hats! LOL! Oh, and these tiny ones don't have eyelashes. They can be added if you want, but I'm not sure I want them. It's nice to have a BJD that you don't have to fuss over all the time.

She is light as a feather and her size is so fun. But I will have to be cautious about her hands and feet because they are only help on by magnets. With LittleFees you have to turn the hands & feet to a certain position to remove them, but not the case with the Real Pukis. they just pull right off. I don't know if the PukiFees are like this. I would think that the Puki Pukis probably are, but not certain. I adore the Ante sculpt in all the sizes and if I get another, I know it will be an Ante, regardless of size.

    1. Hi Bama! Thank you so much for the detailed info!! I am so glad you aren't feeling overwhelmed with Fable. I bet not having the wig makes it much easier. Plus I think realpukis look better without hair, than with it. Sometimes I'm tempted to leave Emma bald, lol. But I think she likes her hair. I realize I don't interact as much with the minifees as I do the littlefee, because they aren't as smooth to operate as the littlefee. So I don't change their eyes/hair/clothes as much. Besides, Crow is really just an accessory to Harley, so she can have her significant other, hehehe.
I'm really looking forward to my pukifee, but I need to find something else to thing about for awhile. I always do this when I order a new bjd: obsess about them until they get here, and they are always running late, except for Jacob (which is ironic, since he's the only one I've sold).
DDE has a Darjeeling pukipuki in stock, but I really need to not order it. I am not sure if I want that size or not, and want to enjoy the pukifee first, but it's so tempting just to call and ask for it and not have to wait for months!!
      xoxo
