I did it! I ordered a Fairyland Minifee Chloe, cutie bust and cutie legs. She's paid for free and clear. I sold a ton of AG stuff to afford her. The wait is 8-10 weeks, but I always expect to add a few to that as well, so it will be a few months before she arrives. That's okay, it gives me time to work out her character and story line. She's going to be my most complex/deep doll. I already have more of her background worked out than all of my other dolls combined. She's the doll I've always wanted and never thought I could afford to buy. She's almost a mini-me, but kind of an alter-ego or at least an alternate me living a different life. In case you were wondering, her name is Harley (like the motorcycle) and she's a 19 year old university student who works part time at an eclectic coffee shop. Eventually she'll meet Emma's mother, and start babysitting Emma and then Jacob, too.
So now it's on to part two of my master plan: selling and saving to afford a Minifee Luka, muscular boy body, who will be Harley's love interest. Hmmm....at the rate things are going, I might be able to get him before Christmas!
For now, that will be my ultimate wish list for my bjd family: 2 Minifees and 2 Littlefees. But I've learned to never say never. These dolls don't multiply as quickly as AGs, but over the years, more might show up, we'll see.
Emma is sitting beside me in bed as I write this. Since she is an advanced reader for her tender age of six, she knows a new girl is coming. She's excited.
Conversation with Emma:
I hope Harley likes me.
Oh don't you worry, Emma. She's going to adore you.
Really?
Really.
Tell me more about her.
Well, she loves to read as much as you do; and she likes working with young children. She is learning how to cook, mostly by watching the cooking channel on T.V.
Do you think she knows how to make macaroni and cheese?
I'm sure she does.
Oh good. Well, I think I can be friends with her then....as long as she likes Jacob, too.
I'm sure she'll like Jacob, too.

Congratulations! You will love Minifee Chloe. A young woman in my doll group has one and she is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I miss the snowy trees in your header.
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to meeting my Minifee in person. And thanks for the Kudos on the old blog header (I like to change things up a bit ;)).
